Carib peoples call it the God of Evil. For the ancient Mayans, Huracan was the god of wind, storm, and fire - one of the three creators of mankind, and bringer of the great flood to punish man for angering the gods. Now Huracan is preparing to punish yet again with a once-in-a-century category-five storm that will devastate everything and everyone in its path. For Ken and Denise Durant, the Caribbean vacation at sea that was supposed to save their broken marriage may cost them their very lives. Trapped in the colossal eye of one of Earth's living and breathing monsters, their only salvation lies within the hull of a WC-130 belonging to the U.S. Air Force Hurricane Hunters. The crew of the weather reconnaissance aircraft must race against the clock to assist the stricken vacationers and, in turn, wages a war to fight for their own survival. For ship and aircraft alike, death hides within the towering waves, and the invisible walls of wind found residing within Hurricane Lenny.
