This collection features three of Carley's finest comedies, including: Midnight Madness, a gentle two-hander about the chance reunion of a pair of high school misfits. Anna violated her school's moral code-and Wesley was just weird. Can two outcasts find happiness during a late-night sale at an old furniture store?; Writing With Our Feet, a black comedy for agoraphobics about the creative impulse and the need to fling open one's garage door and join the world (a finalist for the Governor-General's award); and Into (inspired by a Julio Cortazar short story) where an urban nun, a mysterious beauty, a businessman, and a disaffected youth are stuck in a traffic jam outside a metropolis. As the jam extends for hours, then weeks, they must form their own community in order to survive. But then something begins changing on the horizon.
