De Gentenaar Arne Sierens ( 1959) is een theatermaker die 'prikkelend eersteklas theater maakt' en ook 'één van onze uniekste theaterauteurs'.
Men bekijkt hem 'als een producer van hedendaags melodrama, van de groteske ook, die heerlijke mix van hoog en laag, van kitsch en kunst'.
'Hij 'verft' grover, bonter, grappiger en misschien wel tragischer dan ooit'. ZINGARATE (2017) is italiaans voor 'zware kloterijen' of lees het als een Vlaamse mix van 'zingen en karate'. Een uniek 'middeleeuws vrachtwagenspel' in openlucht op drie vrachtwagens. Donatella wil haar leven omgooien, weg van fictie, terug naar de realiteit. Vincent komt haar helpen met haar verhuis. Net dan valt haar verhuiswagen in panne. Lars komt inspringen met zijn vrachtwagen, maar jammer genoeg ligt zijn moeder op sterven. Kompleet onverwacht duikt ook Mario op, de ex van Donatella.

Hoe ga je om met gebroken liefde? En hoe sta je aan het bed van iemand die op sterven ligt? Langzaam wordt duidelijk dat die kleine, banaal klinkende vragen, verwijten en anekdotes die de vier gebarsten harten in elkaars richten spuwen de stevige fundamenten vormen van een even aangrijpend als geestig afscheidsritueel.
