What is intelligence? As humanity races to build increasingly sophisticated machines, we face a profound paradox: we are creating systems that can code, write essays, and mimic human behavior, yet we still cannot fundamentally define what intelligence actually is. Most modern AI systems act as lightning-fast, hyper-sophisticated mirrors-reflecting human data back at us, but completely lacking an internal mental space, continuous states, and a self-sustaining inner life.
This book offers a radical break from mainstream artificial intelligence paradigms. Instead of presenting another engineering guide on optimizing large language models or deep neural networks, it takes the reader on a deep, systems-thinking, and philosophically grounded journey to the very roots of cognition.
The author challenges the status quo with a bold question: what if intelligence does not emerge from static representations or pre-programmed symbolic rules? What if memory, self-modeling, and thought itself are emergent properties of a much deeper, self-organizing dynamic layer?
At the core of this work is the Dual-SPE Model, which explores the fragile, razor-thin boundary between rigid order and complete chaos-a state known as metastability.
