This collection is the fruit of six months of parental leave, during which I immersed myself completely in the experience of raising my children. Each poem transforms an ordinary moment of parenting into something to be contemplated anew. I sought to take the simple words and familiar objects that parents encounter countless times each day and reveal them through fresh perspectives and richer imagery.

The title, 'A Drop of Parenting in an Ordinary Water', reflects the central image of this collection. My life is like a glass of water, clear and ordinary. When my children entered it, each bringing their own unique color, the water changed. Yet its essence remained the same. Instead of losing itself, it became more vibrant and alive. That is what parenthood has been for me-not a replacement of who I am, but an expansion of it.

I hope these poems offer moments of warmth, recognition, and quiet laughter to those who are raising children, those who have already done so, and those who someday will.
