The story is about a dog that was different from other dogs, and as such was ostracized. As luck may have it, he gets an opportunity to show how his difference has unique advantages and in the process is accepted by unexpected friends (cats), that by all expectations would not have been his friends. He also gets an opportunity to show kindness to one of his fellow dogs that misunderstood him. In the end, the other dogs see his value and welcome him. This helps to build his confidence and he develops pride for his difference. It speaks to the importance of inclusion and recognizing the strength of differences. It helps to show that by supporting others we can help them to excel and be a great value to the community.
