Dissolving the Masks contains vivid portraits of the felt experience of early-childhood trauma and the self-protective masks it generates - leading up to and through emergence into new life, with all the false-self masks dissolved. In the artist's plunge into the wordless depths of the unconscious, some of the pictures' meanings are self-evident, others more complex and mysterious. For all of them, elegant haikus offer insight from closer to the top of the mind. The resulting interdimensional selections reflect a healing communion, across chasms of incomprehension and hopelessness, especially for those who've encountered such tragedies first-hand. The author's wish is that readers who hold this book in their hands will be freed from suffering, having received the compassionate knowledge that their pain is known and temporary, and that joy and peace are still possible. Publication is intended as a profound gift of the spirit, to be savored alone or shared.
