Dinny is a small Jack Russell who lives on Farmer John's farm. He is eager to help, but he doesn't yet know what his job should be.

First, Dinny tries helping with the chickens-but the hens flap and scatter everywhere. Farmer John gently tells him that chasing chooks isn't the right job.

Next, Dinny tries watching the sheep. He crouches low and hopes he might be a sheepdog, but the sheep burst into a noisy, woolly panic. Once again, Dinny realizes he hasn't quite found his place.
