THE BOOK FOR RACING GAMES ENTHUSIASTS FROM A REGULAR RACING GAME FAN Hi everyone! My name is Pavel Vasilevich. You, most likely, haven't heard of me because I am not a journalist. I'm just a big fan of cars and racing games. I've been playing them since 1995, since I got an 8-bit game console. My love for the genre hasn't waned since then. I've played just about every arcade racing and simulation game from the 90's to present day. On top of that, I've always been interested in the games' development.
For more than 2 years I've collected over 40 interviews with the game developers - from programmers and artists to studio heads and producers. And now I'm going to share all this information with you. This book will tell you the story of making of over 70 racing games and the evolution of several well-known development studios. You will learn about how publishers' relationships with developers were built, what difficulties were encountered during making a game, and how they were solved.
