Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ.
I am writing this letter because I see you. I see you learning how to stand before people while you are still learning how to stand within yourself. I see you praying for others while you are still trying to understand your own prayers. I see you entering chapel, the residence halls, classrooms, athletic spaces, student gatherings, and difficult conversations with a desire to help-even while you are still asking God who you are becoming.
I am writing this letter because I see you. I see you learning how to stand before people while you are still learning how to stand within yourself. I see you praying for others while you are still trying to understand your own prayers. I see you entering chapel, the residence halls, classrooms, athletic spaces, student gatherings, and difficult conversations with a desire to help-even while you are still asking God who you are becoming.
Let me tell you at the beginning: you do not have to have yourself completely figured out before God can use you. You do not need to arrive at Wheaton with a finished identity, a polished voice, or a perfect ministry plan. You are not a final product. You are a disciple. You are still being formed. That is not a weakness in your calling; it is part of your calling.
