Local, struggling rapper, Stephen Ames is found shot to death in the backyard of his late parents' home. It's the usual homicide story for the community, but for Davenport, this breaking news could make or break him in more ways than one. The murder victim's sister, Maci Ames returns home to bury her brother and find answers to his demise. When Davenport and Maci meet, their worlds and mutual connections collide and Davenport's ethics as a journalist are tested.
