Amid this disaster, we follow the intertwined lives of three unlikely protagonists:
Phoenix Walker, a disillusioned Army Ranger serving life without parole in an Oklahoma prison, who becomes one of the few sighted survivors after the riotous collapse of the prison system.
Dani Tyler, an eleven-year-old girl from Albuquerque who must care for her blind mother and fend for herself in an increasingly brutal world.
