This is a lecture on the Holger Danske legend, delivered in the People's Association for Randers and the surrounding area on March 24, 1865. Et Foredrag Om Holger-danske-sagnet explores the Holger Danske myth, a significant figure in Danish folklore and national identity. Pauline Worm's presentation delves into the origins and cultural importance of Holger Danske, also known as Ogier the Dane, a legendary hero who, according to tradition, will awaken to defend Denmark in its time of need. This lecture offers historical insights into the legend's role in shaping Danish national consciousness. A valuable resource for those interested in Danish history, folklore, and the enduring power of myth.
