Dalton had long given up on his quest to find his sister when he arrives in Clearview and finds that one of the candidates running for town mayor is Amanda Dalton. As one of the few things he knows about his sister is that her name is Amanda, his hopes are raised and then immediately dashed as the apparent link is just a coincidence.
He still stays in town to help her campaign, which becomes more complicated when Garrett Wymore, who was implicated in the murder of Amanda's husband, returns to town. Garrett is hellbent on causing yet more carnage and Dalton is the only man who is prepared to stand in his way.
