Born in a brothel during the early nineteen hundreds, Little Margaret managed to escape a life of prostitution. Unfortunately when she reached adulthood, the young woman struggled to maintain her sanity when an alternate personality of being a beautiful princess started to emerge. While also in danger of being killed for possessing valuables that originally belonged to one of the most powerful gangsters in Chicago, she was fortunate to have a boyfriend to lean on during her darkest of moments. Gilbert Temple, an actor for a fledgling film company in nineteen twenty-eight, accepted and loved Little Margaret unconditionally. Yet, while attempting to protect her from a razor wielding madman, the distraught woman assumed the identity of the princess and fled into a dense forest just off the coast of Lake Michigan. After days of searching, all that was found was Little Margaret's dress, neatly folded and placed on the trunk of a fallen tree. Gilbert continued to search for the lost and confused woman, as did the dangerous madman who was on a quest to fulfill a self-proclaimed destiny. The dilemma being, which of the two men would find her first?
