Rarely does a written story give me pause as this one.
In Atlanta, Georgia, children have started to disappear and then returned home after three days, seemingly unharmed, with no memory of the past 48 hours.
When six-year-old Lilly Parrish disappears, ex-con TJ. Bennett sets out to find the biological daughter he's never met. As T.J., and the nurse who saved him from a fatal wound, begins to piece the puzzle together, they realize they have little time to save Lillie from losing something she will never have back. In the lower level of his prestigious home. renowned surgeon Dr. Vince Monahan prepares the operating room. Jesus loves the little children, Vince sings softly to the sleeping child. Black or yellow, red or white, they are precious in his sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world. In this taut, troubling thriller, Shursen takes yet another controversial topic and voiced herself beautifully as she penned the story of the Parrish family from Justyce, Georgia.
The villain is so well written that you understand him, knowing that no one is all bad or all good. He's evil, yet you see the reason. From the gripping beginning to the surprising end, you'll find yourself hating to put this one down. - Bestselling author Jerilyn Dufresne
Conviction deals with one of the most difficult people to rehabilitate...emotionally, relationally and spiritually.
You're drawn into the mind and life of a psychopath who believes he's doing God's work.
Once you reach the end you think it's over but you're in for another story that just begins.
As all the pieces fall into place the ending has your mouth hanging open saying, I never saw that coming!
I have read all of this author's books and have been knocked over with each one.
Once again, Shursen's creativity, writing abilities, and research make for a fast-paced, exciting read.
