This is the story of Charlie Ford, a decorated Vietnam-era Navy pilot who launched his civilian career piloting commercial air freight across the Gulf Coast states. In 1985, a chance meeting with his former wing man drew Charlie into the CIA's private war against communist rebels in Central America. The Nicaraguan army shot down a C-123 cargo plane in 1986, near the southern border with Costa Rica. Three American citizens died in that crash; another was captured two days later. Few are aware that two men were never captured, escaping through the dense jungle. One of them was Charlie Ford. Instead of finding a safe haven back in the States, Charlie found that he and his family faced an even greater enemy ... his own government. In COMPLICIT, Patrick Joffrion will keep you riveted as defense attorney Pappy Travis and his investigator Rip Jackson return in this novel, uncovering links to powerful US officials responsible for the assassination of Americans who knew too much about covert operations.
