College Bound Jodi
Jodi has spent years dreaming about horses, but now another dream is calling her toward the ocean.
After graduating high school, she leaves Oregon for Texas A&M at Galveston, where she begins studying marine biology and learns quickly that college life is nothing like high school. Living on her own means balancing demanding classes, caring for her horses, managing a home, making new friends, and learning that freedom comes with consequences.
As Jodi works toward a future with marine animals, she begins a summer internship that brings her closer to the career she has imagined for years. At the same time, JD-the black-and-white colt she has loved since the day he was born-is growing beside her. She must resist the temptation to rush him, just as she is learning not to rush her own life.
Family relationships change. Mistakes test her parents' trust. New responsibilities push her harder than she expected. And through letters, friendships, horses, and the pull of the ocean, Jodi slowly discovers that becoming an adult is not something that happens on a birthday.
It is something you earn.
College Bound Jodi is the second book in the JD and Jodi series-a coming-of-age story about horses, college, marine biology, family, independence, and finding the courage to build a life of your own.
