Filled with gambling, romance, and humor, Caribbean Hustle is an extraordinary semi-autobiographical story by author Douglas Beatty. All too recently, as found in the last book It's Always A Game, Chance Daly was on a roll. He had parlayed his charity blessed Bingo and Card room into a hugely successful Internet gaming site. Then more good fortune followed: a beautiful new wife, the God daughter of a mob boss and the sale of his gambling operations for a cool ten million.A player all his life he began pitching pennies as a ten year old moving to cards and craps as a teenager. He had always been a risk taker and was always Rollin dem bones. So when he received millions from his internet gaming site sale, instead of kicking back and putting his feet up, he took the cash and began playing in the biggest casino in the world: Wall Street. Even there he had the golden touch. Unfortunately though, he forgot two truisms: fate is fickle and Dame fortune can be a bitch.Reality set in. His foray coincided with the most severe economic downturn since the Great Depression. His $10,000,000 soon became dust in the rear view mirror. But Chance knows the hustle, so picking himself off the mat he finds a new horse to ride...a new game...a new venture when an old contact tells him about a hurricane-ravaged hotel, casino, and golf resort in the Caribbean that's available. But the due diligence process takes him and his associates down some very dangerous paths-and into some very dark places. Along the way, they run into golf and casino cheating, money laundering, kidnapping, and murder. But who did it, when and why, are all questions that must be answered.More books by Douglas BeattyIt's Always A Game - gambling, golf, poker, craps, bookmaking, romance and the mafia...who could ask for anything more! Will you love it? You can bet on it!The Story of Pink Toes - illustrated children's book - perfect for the grandkids.
