Michael Canard, now 26 years old, has had a tough run of it from the womb. Heart defect at birth, estranged father, mother killed and orphaned, all by the age of four! The family friend Ray Price, top heart surgeon in the country, moves this orphaned kid to one of the most dangerous cities in the country...Woodlands, NY. Why? Michael had to fight tooth and nail just to survive and slips quickly into a culture of gangs, drugs and violence. When a routine drug deal goes awry, Michael's life is miraculously spared at gunpoint. That devine intervention convinces Michael to dedicate his life to the Lord. Unfortunately for Michael, a few years later that saved heart, suddenly gives out. He wakes up in the hospital to learn he's received an inexplicable heart transplant from a donor no one can identify. Things unravel quickly, as it soon becomes clear that this heart of his has a wicked past-one that corrupts with every beat. Michael fights against his inner demons to stay in the word and to maintain hope. A mysterious woman enters Michael's life-one who seems determined to keep him from harm, although she's chased by shadows and demons of her own. Who is this Vivian Knight and why are there dangerous men following her? Will Michael ever figure out the secret of his new heart...? Does he even care? CANARD...case 341 is a psychological thriller with strong Christian influences.
