Hauntings is a short story about love, honor, and betrayal, that follows Titus, a thief and outlaw in the kingdom of Trinlae tasked with performing a dangerous heist with two companions: his romantic partner Amira, and a stranger. The heist goes terribly wrong and Titus finds himself in a situation he can't just run away from. Conflicted about the possible betrayal and selfishly wanting to live, Titus betrays who he assumed was the stranger that had ruined the heist. It doesn't matter however, and Titus finds himself being executed the next day. As he dies, he finds the will to take a last look at Amira, only to see that he had unintentionally sold her out, with the stranger nowhere to be found. He watches as she is killed, but there is nothing he could do.
