The Count's Snuff Box is a historical romance novel written by George Robert Russell Rivers and published in 1898. The story takes place during the War of 1812 and is set in both Washington, D.C. and Buzzard's Bay. The protagonist, Count de Zavala, is a French nobleman who has come to America to offer his services to the American government in their fight against the British. He quickly becomes embroiled in a love triangle with two women: the beautiful and wealthy Miss Fanny Lander and the mysterious and alluring Madame de St. Cyr. As the war rages on and tensions mount, Count de Zavala must navigate his feelings for the two women while also trying to help the Americans win the war. The novel is full of intrigue, romance, and historical detail, making it a captivating read for anyone interested in the War of 1812 or historical romance novels. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
