The Congregational Psalmist is a book published in 1855 by Jacob Richardson Scott. It is a collection of psalm tunes that have been adapted to a selection of hymns contained in the Psalmist. The book is intended for congregational use in Baptist churches. The psalm tunes included in the book are designed to be sung by the entire congregation, rather than just a choir or soloist. The book includes sheet music for each tune, as well as lyrics for the corresponding hymns. The Congregational Psalmist is an important historical document for scholars of music and religious studies, providing insight into the musical practices of Baptist churches in the mid-19th century. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
