Jack Dell is not your typical author; he's an American entrepreneur and a lifelong adventurer. This book of poems and paintings has been fifty years in the making. Since he was a child living in post-World War II Army barracks in upstate New York, Jack has been continually searching for his own sense of being and the meaning of life, with all of its twists and turns, drawing on thinkers from Teilhard de Chardin to Napoleon Hill, Arthur Shopenhauer, Carlos Castaneda, and a host of others.
He has spent hundreds of days out on the ocean and in the woods of the Eastern Shore, the forests of northern New Mexico, and the rolling hills of Missouri. The silence and serenity of being out on the water and alone in the woods provided a refuge for reflection on all the battlefields of life and the universal human journey.
