Although the Civil War officially ended, its repercussions lingered for many former Confederates who held on to their ambitions and animosities. Among them was Colonel Wilfred Collier, CSA, whose determination to challenge the United States persisted long after the conflict.
Colonel Collier was a man of wealth and significant influence. Seeking refuge and opportunity, he established a grand mansion on an isolated island in Puget Sound, Washington. In 1900, Collier summoned his former cavalry troops to the estate, intent on organizing and strengthening a new force. This force was envisioned to be commanded by a general from an Eastern European nation, reflecting Collier's far-reaching connections and strategic vision.
Collier's Mansion was far more than a residence-it was a multi-floor super fortress. The estate boasted First World War-era military tanks, German aircraft, and even a submarine, all ingeniously concealed within various underground levels and grottoes. This secret stronghold became a hub of military activity, hidden away from the prying eyes of the public and authorities.
Fast-forward to 1994: Collier's Mansion, long abandoned and sealed off from the world, had remained untouched for decades-its secrets kept more securely than the riches of Fort Knox. The silence was finally broken when new ownership took hold of the property. Eager to determine its future potential as a hotel, the owners dispatched a team of workmen to breach the formidable barriers that had kept the mansion impenetrable for generations.
Upon finally gaining entry, the workers were met with astonishing discoveries. Hidden throughout the underground levels and chambers, they uncovered the arsenal of war machinery that Colonel Collier had so meticulously concealed. Among the most shocking finds were forty military tanks, each emblazoned with the battle markings of the Confederacy. But the tanks held an even darker secret: inside each one sat a full crew of Confederate soldiers-mummified, still clad in their uniforms yet remarkably preserved through plasticization. The bodies remained fully pliable, eerily lifelike, as if awaiting orders that would never come.
These revelations only scratched the surface of Collier's Mansion's macabre legacy. Other discoveries within its depths would continue to reinforce its reputation as a true den of damnation
