Jim Heald has been writing songs for over 40 years now and has been performing them for almost as long in coffeehouses, cafes, bars, restaurants, wineries, festivals and other venues. The songs are loosely in the genre of Americana and roots music. He counts Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, the Beatles, Bruce Cockburn, Richard Thompson, The Byrds, Santana, and Crosby, Stills and Nash among his musical heroes.Juliet's on Fire - This is how acoustic psychedelic folk is supposed to sound, be it 2015 or 1967...Takes Me Away - This reminds me of a 60s pop/folk hybrid that is radio friendly, but really cool as well. - David Hintz HTTP: //DCROCKLIVE.BLOGSPOT.COM Totally digging on pieces like Barcelona. -Dick Metcalf, ROTCOD ZZAJ REVIEWBeen jamming Somebody Else's Problem on repeat, loving the excellent mix of Petty-esque delivery and nuanced guitar playing - Samuel Markus, Working Brilliantly ...a passionate musical landscape. - W. Michael Smith, AUSTIN CHRONICLE Very powerful lyrics and soothing melodies.
