Café of the Cosmos is a lighthearted three-act comedy set in the quirky new Event Horizon Café, a coffee shop perched beside an observatory. The story follows Melissa, a freshly hired cashier trying to stay sane amid eccentric coworkers, star-struck visitors, and the boundless optimism of her manager, Rita. Melissa's boyfriend, Brad, an earnest astrophysicist, becomes increasingly consumed by what he believes are groundbreaking signals from the cosmos-an obsession that draws in a boastful city councilman, an opportunistic TV reporter, and a sardonic teen intern who doubts everything.

As excitement about possible first contact spreads, the café becomes a stage for inflated egos, mixed motives, and comic misunderstandings. The ensemble's clashing personalities and ambitions hurtle the characters toward a chaotic climax where science, hype, and everyday human folly collide-forcing everyone to reconsider what they're really reaching for among the stars.
