We are each of us consigned to our own life and death circumstance thanks not to fickle gods, alien overlords, or any free will, but rather a simple algorithm: all is chance.

In a basic universe there are no physical forces, just fields of possibility generating simple random patterns.

In a more intricate universe, there appear to be physical forces, including human beings making decisions, but these are just complex patterns generated from the same random fields possibility.

This may seem very unlikely, as the laws of physics are shown to work very well down to incredibly reliable detail, but our existence is only one of infinite reality.

Coincidentalism is the philosophy of this belief, but it is not one of despair or defeat. For even if we ourselves and every thought we have is randomly generated. this does not make life meaningless. In fact, as is here argued, it provides us with a beacon lighting the way to our conceptual salvation.
