This adult parody book does not pretend to be about anything other than what it says it is about, which is a horse, a series of decisions, and the circumstances that led to those decisions. It is dark. It is funny. It is the kind of thing that makes you laugh and then briefly reconsider the laugh and then laugh again because reconsidering it made it funnier. The original was sad. This one is sadder in a completely different direction. Cinnamon deserved better. He knows it. He made alternate arrangements.
