Once upon a time, in a small village called Pax, lived a little Lowchen dog named Cinder. She had a loving friend named Lulabell and a devoted owner named Tom, but after Tom married Ida Mae, Cinder's life changed.
Ida Mae favored her two Pomeranians, Mendy and Mandy, while Cinder was treated like a servant. Called Cinderdoggy, she was blamed for their messes, forced to clean up after them, and left with little more than scraps to eat. When Mendy and Mandy are invited to a grand gala for Prince Zac, Cinder is left behind.
But Cinder has a secret friend watching over her. Lulabell, the stray cat from Cinder's old home, reveals that she is actually Cinder's fairy godcat. With a little magic, some mice, a few ordinary objects, and a very special transformation, Cinder gets the chance to attend the royal gala.
At the castle, Prince Zac is immediately drawn to the mysterious, beautifully dressed dog. But Cinder must leave before the magic disappears. In her haste, she leaves behind two jeweled shoes and Prince Zac refuses to give up until he finds the dog who wore them.
With kindness, courage, friendship, and a little fairy-tale magic, Cinderdoggy offers young readers a playful animal retelling of the classic Cinderella story. Readers will delight in seeing familiar fairy-tale elements transformed into a charming world of dogs, cats, mice, royalty, and a happily-ever-after ending.
