Chunk

Everyone knew him as Chunk.
Charlie Blevens was only eleven years old when a drunk driver stole everything that mattered-his mother, his father, and the life he once knew.
Sent to live with relatives who provided a roof but little love, Charlie learned to bury his grief the only way he knew how. Food became comfort. Alcohol became escape. Year after year, the pain grew heavier, and so did he.

By high school, nobody called him Charlie anymore.
They called him Chunk.
The nickname followed him through lonely hallways, empty weekends, and a graduation day that felt more like an ending than a beginning. Forgotten by classmates and invisible to the world, Charlie moves to a sprawling city where he hopes to disappear among millions of strangers.
Instead, he meets Marie LaFont.
A deli owner with a kind heart and a gift for seeing what others miss, Marie becomes the first person in years to look beyond Charlie's size and see the wounded man underneath. Through friendship, patience, and unwavering belief, she helps him confront the grief he has carried since childhood.
What follows is a powerful journey of healing, courage, transformation, and hope.
Chunk is an unforgettable story about loss, loneliness, second chances, and discovering that sometimes the person who saves your life is simply the one who refuses to walk away.
Because the hardest weight Charlie ever had to lose wasn't on his body.
It was on his heart.
