Chronicle and Romance: Froissart, Malory, Holinshed is a collection of three historical works compiled in Volume 35 of the Harvard Classics. The first work is Chronicles by Jean Froissart, a French chronicler who lived in the 14th century. His work covers the Hundred Years' War between England and France and provides a detailed account of the battles, politics, and social customs of the time. The second work is Le Morte d'Arthur by Sir Thomas Malory, which is a compilation of Arthurian legends and tales. It follows the life of King Arthur, his knights of the Round Table, and the quest for the Holy Grail. The third work is Chronicles of England, Scotland, and Ireland by Raphael Holinshed, which is a comprehensive history of the British Isles from ancient times to the end of the 16th century. This volume provides readers with a glimpse into the medieval world and the legends and tales that have shaped Western culture.1910.
