Sammy Baker's confectionaries are a big hit in Sunny Cove, but when a fundraising drive turns into a hair-raising crime it's time for Sam to don her sleuthing cap again.A diner baker with her first Christmas puddings. Four retirees called the Radical Grandmas. One recreation center worth saving.

Sammy Baker, Diner Baker and Amateur Sleuth at Just Like Grandma's. Sammy came home to Sunny Cove to bake. Then Maureen Bradshaw, who ordered her puddings, is found in the recreation center pool. She wants her name cleared and true justice for Maureen. A guest tells the room there were nuts in those puddings, and the sheriff wants her to stay put.

Helen, Diner Owner and Sammy's Landlady at Just Like Grandma's. Helen has run Just Like Grandma's for decades and grew up across the street from Sheriff Jones. She wants the baker she trusts kept out of a murder file. She thinks she knows who lingered by the dessert table. Sammy would rather think the best of people.

Sunny Cove has suspects to spare: a developer who wants the recreation center razed, a store manager Maureen shamed over his Christmas stock, a rival baker who won't meet her eye. Read them wrong and an innocent neighbor is ruined, and nobody answers for Maureen.

Sammy knows exactly what she put in those puddings. Proving it will cost her Christmas.
