A work that delves deeply into the differences and commonalities between Eastern and Western philosophical thought, offering readers a window into the development of philosophy across different cultural contexts. This book argues that China possesses a philosophy distinct from that of the West, shaped by different historical contexts and developmental trajectories. Its uniqueness lies in its pursuit of goodness and its emphasis on moral cultivation, presenting a form that differs from Western philosophy, particularly Hegelian philosophy. Building on this perspective, the book analyzes the characteristics of Chinese and Western philosophies in terms of思维方式 (modes of thinking) and叙事方式 (narrative approaches) from a comparative philosophical standpoint. It covers topics such as Neo-Confucianism, epistemology, metaphilosophy, and the modernization of Chinese philosophy. By thoroughly examining Chinese philosophy and comparing its similarities and differences with Western philosophy, the book aims to explore potential directions and paths for the further development of Chinese philosophy-transforming the unspeakable into the speakable and articulating the speakable with clarity.
