This book consists of three research essays that explore the often-overlooked resistance of ordinary Chinese people during the Cultural Revolution. The third essay compiles records from local gazetteers across China, presenting firsthand accounts of grassroots resistance. All descriptions are taken directly from local historical documents, preserving the original voices of those who stood against political oppression.
