This colorful story of CHARLIE THE MOUSE AND HIS FOURTH OF JULY WISH will bring wonder and excitement with its lively illustrations and heartwarming message. Join Charlie the deaf mouse at the holiday fireworks and see how he bravely winds up rescuing the alleged neighborhood bully. He learns to overcome his fear and a very important lesson in the process: that looks and gossip can both be deceiving. One tiny, hearing-impaired mouse followed his heart and made a forever friend, one who had been feared by all.- A note from one of the authors - My daughter and co-author Maggie Lynn was terrified of fireworks as a child. I remember spending one Fourth of July celebration in the car with her as the skies exploded, windows rolled up and steamed to invisibility. The holiday is not a happy one for everybody, including animals. In this colorful story Charlie the Mouse bravely helps to conquer his friends' trepidation and learns a valuable lesson when it comes to gossip: don't listen to it. He befriends the alleged monster of the neighborhood and brings unity to his little community. You and your child will love how he does it.
