This study analyzes the challenges of community participation in public health initiatives in Kamina (DRC). It is a descriptive and analytical study, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches among 200 respondents (the general population, health workers, RECO, CODEV, and local authorities), with data collected via KoboCollect and analyzed using SPSS 25.0.The results show that community participation is generally moderate to low, despite a good understanding of local health structures. The main barriers are a lack of information, poverty, a lack of motivation, and mistrust of health facilities. The study concludes that community participation is insufficient and recommends strengthening awareness-raising, training, and community involvement in health-related decision-making.
