A small moon orbiting a gas giant on the edge of the galaxy, Tel'A'Sarr has become a destination resort over the last fifty years. The reason: the enigmatic Celestial Falls, a miles long stretch of cascading light unlike anything else found in the galaxy. Most who come to the small moon think the Falls are the only thing to see here. Unknown to them, an even greater mystery lies in the jungle surrounding the Falls.Hidden in the dense foliage lie great structures, neither ziggurat or pyramid but referred to as both. These ancient buildings appear at first glance to be nothing more than primitive monuments of worship. But hidden beneath their gleaming black exteriors lie advanced technology, deceptively hidden by the builders who themselves appear unseen and unknown. This mystery attracts the attention of the neoteric xenoarchaeologists, specialists in the study of abandoned alien technology. With the hundredth anniversary looming, Professor Crowel Strom, head of the decades long attempt to unravel the mystery of the Ziggurat-Pyramids and their secretive builders, places a call for assistance, opening the dig to all archaeologists, regardless of species, reputation, or ill past. Seizing the opportunity, Adelaide Rowland arrives on the moon, hoping to put the events that ended her last dig behind her. For her, this represents the last chance to keep her career as an archaeologist alive. For Tel'A'Sarr, this represents one last chance to solve the mystery in the jungle. For wherever there are tourists, there are always companies waiting to cash in. And rarely do they care for preservation of ancient sites of intrigue...
