CASSANDRA at sixteen has scarcely experienced life beyond her father's Grecian Vineyard. When she spies a man with the body of Adonis undressing for a swim in the river, she is instantly transformed. The girl whose idea of a thrill is a ride on her horse to watch the sunset becomes a woman who is ready for marital bliss. Yes, and her father approves as he has arranged her marriage to a much older cousin. In the years just before WWI arranged marriages were the norm and girls did not defy their fathers. Women in the USA and England were holding peaceful protests, demanding equal rights and the vote. Little did this help Cassandra who met secretly with this stranger. She could never have imagined the journey she must take. Cassandra is the third novel of the trilogy Journey Through Darkness.
