Steven Hughes was a special operations team member turned private investigator, hired by a close friend to assist with the locating of a 9-year old girl that was abducted from her school in broad daylight. The investigation takes him to a few small islands where he is hunted down by former team members who blame him for the death of CIA agent. Constantly looking over his shoulder, planning every move to stay ahead of a stray bullet, Steven finds that even close friendship has its limits when it comes to money and responsibility.
Longing to simply go back home to Wyoming and put all of this behind him, he knows he can't. Once he starts a job, he has to finish it. With every turn of events, comes a new twist of confusion and danger, introducing another individual that is more than willing to remove him from this rock.
