An armada of zombies is eating its way across the galaxy, and it came from Earth.

Earth has been quarantined for centuries. Nobody goes there. That is about to change.

Commander Brakka is an ancient zombie running technology stolen from a civilization that died a long time ago, and every crew he catches becomes part of the armada. The Tioran Federation cannot stop him. The five people aboard the Starcruiser Galaxy are going to have to.

Which is how Mintax and his crew end up travelling back in time to Earth, where the fate of the galaxy briefly depends on a farmer named William, a plate of barbecued ribs and a glass of lemonade.

William is charmed by the ship's engineer and certain the rest of them are pulling his leg. He is half right.

Fast, funny space opera with real stakes, and a last line of defense made up of people who mostly just wanted to get paid.
