When Mr. Donnelly the headteacher turns up with a Golden Retriever
the size of a small horse, nine-year-old Max Cooper knows two things:
one, this dog is enormous. Two, this is going to be a problem.
He just does not know how big a problem.
Biscuit Eats the Homework is a laugh-out-loud early chapter book
about the world's most enthusiastic school dog, a boy who just wants
to survive third grade, and a very patient teacher who has seen a lot
- but never quite seen this.
- Biscuit - the Golden Retriever who eats everything,
loves everyone, and means absolutely no harm whatsoever - Max Cooper - a perfectly ordinary boy in a completely
unordinary situation - Zoe - the best friend who is always right
and would very much like you to know that - Mr. Donnelly - the headteacher who loves his dog
considerably more than common sense - Ms. Patel - the teacher holding everything together,
one incident at a time
Short chapters, a fast-moving story, and humour that works
for children and the adults reading alongside them.
- Independent readers ages 6 to 9
- Reluctant readers who need a book they actually want to finish
- Read-aloud sessions at home or in the classroom
- Anyone who has ever suspected their dog is smarter than he looks
- Book 1: Biscuit Eats the Homework
- Book 2: Biscuit Meets the Inspector
