Rules are made to be broken... but this time, it might just turn the world upside down!
Meet thirteen-year-old Nosy Pete. He's quiet, invisible, has zero friends, and possesses a dangerously massive habit of sticking his large nose exactly where it doesn't belong. When his famous archaeologist father, Dr. Tiberius Baltimore, returns from a dig with the legendary Stone of Bexany, Pete is given one simple instruction: Do not touch the stone!
Naturally, Pete touches it.
With just a few accidentally spoken words, Pete triggers a magical portal and unleashes a horde of ancient, chaos-loving demons into the world. Out steps Princess Bexany herself-not the evil ruler Pete expects, but the ultimate demon guardian who is absolutely furious that a little nerd just let her prisoners escape.
To fix his colossal mess, Pete is dragged into a wild adventure through town alongside a highly sassy princess and Clippy, a remarkably refined, tea-sipping dragon. Their first target? The Rule Muncher-a purple, sign-eating beast that devours anything representing law and order!
Can this spectacularly mismatched trio trick the monsters back into the stone before Pete's dad gets home? Or will Pete be grounded for the next two thousand years?
Bexany Vol. 1: The Rule Muncher is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud illustrated chapter book perfect for young readers who love magical mishaps, quirky monsters, and accidental heroes.
