Erica and Josh are excited when two fine newborn goats, Belle and Blue, are born on the farm, and they can't wait to show them at the county fair. However, baby goats are a lot of trouble, and Josh discovers that it's not enough to want the blue ribbon or even to have a champion goat - to win at the fair, or in anything in life, one must be willing to work hard.

Although this book is not a textbook on caring for goats, it is designed to teach children a little about goat husbandry while, at the same time, teaching an important character lesson on the importance of hard work.
