She never expected to find love. Being the only teacher of the one room school in Mills Creek is hard enough what with the pranks the children play on their teacher, Miss Prudence Whitby. From harmless snakes in the drawer to ink stains covering her entire bottom, Prudence has seen everything the children can think up. What she is unprepared for is the arrival of the new handsome pastor, Reverend Weyland Stenn. It doesn't take long for the town gossips to start all sorts of rumours from a long lost forbidden relationship to a missionary honeymoon in Aftrica. While she tries to deal with the situation without compromising either of their reputations, Pru finds that Reverend Stenn doesn't seem to be as worried about their situation as she is. In fact, he seems to want to spend even more time with her! With perseverence, God's will and a little love, Weyland just might convince Pru that a match between the two of them isn't so far fetched after all.
