Readers comment: You had me on the first page! A female villain, a master manipulator, the quintessential evangelist-the beautiful and seductive Joya will not soon be forgotten. Sometimes, I think it would be great if her message was real and true. The locales are fabulous, rich in detail but fast-paced action keeps it all moving. Edgy, contemporary, sexy and scary, BECOMING JOYA still celebrates some things that we hold dear, strong relationships, creature comforts and the ongoing need for some of us to choose the road less traveled. Another good read, chock full of ideas from Anne Basto, the author of FAST LANE TO SUNSET. Very different, but equally interesting. BECOMING JOYA is good writing, fast paced, well organized. I'm still waiting for the sequel to FAST LANE TO SUNSET.
