Bam Boom Giants is a study of unintended mayhem wrought by the Bam Boom Giants and its near calamitous consequences as seen by Dragonfly and narrated by Frog. It's a book about community and perspective; it's about the consequences of our actions - intentional or not. It's also chock full of motion, rhythm and rhyme. Ages 1 - 6 will have fun joining in with the verbal repetition in the book and the rhythmic, kinesthetic dramatic play included at the end of the story. Vocabulary includes insects and verbs of motion making this a valuable book choice for EL students. Older students will enjoy this quick amusing read as a way to get acquainted with poetic devices easily apparent in my use of uncontrolled personification, rampant onomatopoeia and shameless poetic license.
