For over twenty-five years, thousands of Jewish children have written letters addressed to Bubbie and Zadie because of this special Hanukkah tale. It is the story of a magical grandmother and grandfather who visit Jewish children throughout the world on the first night of Hanukkah. They tell the children wonderful stories, play the dreidel game with them, and offer words of wisdom. Most important, this warm and loving couple brings with them the spirit of Hanukkah itself.

Here, then, is the perfect book for the first night of Hanukkah. Whether read by a child, by a parent to a child, or by a grandparent to a grandchild, Bubbie and Zadie Come to My House warms the heart and brings even greater meaning to the Festival of Lights. Now, the special place that grandparents hold in children's lives can be celebrated along with the miracle of Hanukkah.
