For immigrants are seeking possessions in order to truly be; they are even seeking an immanent justification for their existence. This ethical reflection is essential in our postmodern era, which is in search of identity and hope. It highlights the need to reflect on humanity's project of hope and calls for a genuine reevaluation of social policies in contemporary Africa. This is the validity of the theology of hope, whose essential, crucial, and even unconditional nature the author emphasizes in these eschatological and thanatological times.
