Part II - The Old Believer Hierarchy - is the heart of this volume. Here Melnikov presents the history of the search for legitimate episcopal succession after the reforms. He recounts the prayers, struggles, and journeys of the faithful as they sought a bishop who would restore the true priesthood to the Church. This section culminates in the historic account of the acceptance of Metropolitan Ambrose at Belaya Krinitsa in 1846 - a providential event that reestablished apostolic succession within the Old Believer Church and gave new life to the Belokrinitskaya Hierarchy. Melnikov explains the canonical, spiritual, and historical significance of this restoration, showing that it was not a human initiative but the visible hand of Divine Providence preserving the Orthodox faith in its fullness.
